Destiny 2 YouTuber Solos a Nightfall Master Without Move Keys

Destiny 2 YouTuber Esoterickk soloed a Nightfall Master without using the movement keys, opting to disable the WASD keys and complete the seemingly impossible feat using the Titan Arc Striker’s power, Thundercrash Super ability, class ability Thruster and his swords.

“A bit weird, but basically the rules I had set for this were that I had to turn off WASD and clear the Nightfall Solo. Obviously Arc and Lightning Crystals make this a lot easier than it otherwise would be , and are also a Nightfall Master instead of a Grandmaster. Otherwise I felt it would be way too tedious and time-consuming to do, so at least that way it’s still somewhat entertaining,” Esoterickk explains in the description of the video where he posted the feat, implying that he thinks he could complete the hard task on Grandmaster difficulty if he tried.

“I always allowed the use of jump, sparrow via boost control only, and otherwise the rest of the movement was via Swords, Thruster or Super. Not really that hard at the end of the day, just something different to do I guess,” the description read.

However, despite Esoterickk’s modesty, many players find the task of completing a Master Nightfall daunting, even as part of a full squad. Master Nightfalls are relatively difficult PvE activities in Destiny 2, and soloing any Master Nightfall even with full use of all keyboard buttons would be impressive for most players. Additionally, Bungie includes several Nightfall modifiers designed to make the task even more difficult. For this Nightfall, modifiers included increased melee hit damage, increased Arc and Stasis damage, reduced ammo drops, powerful enemies including Barrier and Unstoppable champions that require mods specific weapons to be defeated, and locked gear, meaning Esoterickk couldn’t switch loadouts if something didn’t work as intended. However, the modifiers also allowed Stasis and Arc abilities to recharge faster than they usually would, which helped improve the speeds at which Esoterickk could take advantage of the Titan Striker’s abilities to move quickly.

Esoterickk makes it look easy, taking the Master Nightfall at Power Level 1608, which is only slightly above the recommended Power Level of 1600. The Nightfall he attempts is The Disgraced, which, while being known as a relatively easy Nightfall, still has several encounters that require combatants to battle hordes of enemies players usually have to dodge using movement keys or the thumbstick of a controller.

Here, he relied solely on mouse movements to control his direction, meaning he could only move in the direction of his camera’s position. Esoterickk relied heavily on Thruster, a Titan Arc subclass ability that allows players to escape sideways while on the ground. His Arc Titan Super ability, Thundercrash, allowed him to charge through the air. Destiny 2 swords also allow players to lunge, with the Eager Edge perk increasing lunge distance immediately after switching to the weapon.

The construction also taps into the heart of the deepest light. When worn, the Titan Exotic chest armor piece allows any ability (Grenade, Melee, or Barricade) to buff others when used, meaning those abilities regenerate faster and do more damage. damage or, in the case of the barricade, take more damage. .

Due to the Arc’s increased regeneration rate and solid overall build, Esoterickk overcame much of the challenge by being patient and throwing grenades.

Although Esoterickk’s videos usually feature Destiny 2 content, the YouTuber channel also features a 17-hour compilation of him defeating 383 bosses from Demon’s Souls, the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring without taking any damage.
