The Diablo IV Collector’s Edition is now available for pre-order on the Blizzard Gear Store and includes an artbook, Sanctuary map, “Creation Candle” and more.
Blizzard went over every Collector’s Edition piece in a recent livestream. Priced at $96.66, the Collector’s Edition does not include an actual copy of Diablo IV, but does contain a slew of other goodies for fans of the game. Of particular note is an electric candle that features the faces of the angel Inarius and the demon Lilith, both of whom play key roles in the Diablo IV story.
Other items included in the Collector’s Edition include a detailed cloth map of Sanctuary, a pin depicting the ancient Brotherhood Horadrim (whose game director Joe Shely in a livestream said played an important role in Diablo’s story IV) and an occult mouspad. It wouldn’t be a Blizzard Collector’s Edition without an artbook, and that’s included too, with over 300 pages of art that were used to create the look of Diablo IV. Art lovers will also appreciate two framed art prints, one featuring Lilith and Inarius and the other featuring the armies of Hell.
The Diablo IV Collector’s Edition notably does not include any in-game items, which is instead awarded for pre-ordering Diablo IV either on PC via Battle.net or on consoles. It’s also worth mentioning that this Collector’s Edition won’t arrive when Diablo IV arrives on June 6, 2023. The Collector’s Edition pre-order page states that the product won’t ship until June 30, 2023, which means Adventurers will have hacked and hacked their way through Sanctuary for nearly a full month before it likely arrives for those who pre-ordered.
Diablo IV caused a stir at The Game Awards recently, where the game’s official release date was revealed amid reports of crisis and mismanagement at Blizzard as the development team scrambles to prepare the game for release. in June 2023.
In a recent hands-on preview, we said Diablo IV appears to be on the right track, “delivering on its promise to give players far more agency than ever before in how they play and build their favorite characters, while offering more ways to tackle content and choose the activities that interest them first.”
