Kylian Mbappe finally responds to Emiliano Martinez’s World Cup trolling

Kylian Mbappe has finally had his say on Emiliano Martinez’s trolling following Argentina’s World Cup win over France.

Mbappe scored a hat-trick past Martinez in the final, plus his penalty in the shootout to win the Golden Boot.

It wasn’t enough, as misfires from Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni were enough to secure a 4-2 win for Argentina.

Martinez took the opportunity to relentlessly mock Mbappe during his celebrations. The Aston Villa goalkeeper called for a ‘moment of silence’ in the dressing room and was pictured holding a doll with Mbappe’s face on the back in Buenos Aires.

Mbappe has remained silent throughout it all. That is to say until Wednesday evening.

The 24-year-old naturally received questions about Martinez after Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 win over Strasbourg, a game in which he scored the decisive penalty.

What did he have to say? Naturally, he didn’t want this to turn into a war of words.

The striker instead focused on his teammate Lionel Messi who finally managed to lift the trophy in his last tournament appearance as a player.

He told reporters“I spoke with him after the match. I congratulated him. For him, it was a life goal. For me too, but I lost, so I have to be a good sportsman. Parties, it’s not my problem, I don’t waste time on such insignificant things.”

The boy has ice in his veins. Mbappe’s response has gone viral on social media, with fans praising his mentality.

One person said: “He’s better than me. I would have tried to go on Martinez as much as possible.”

Another commented: “This is what the class looks like. No wonder he’s one of the best.”

Someone tweeted: “So mature. You wouldn’t guess which one of them is 24.”

While a fourth said: ‘People calling him arrogant are really quiet right now.

PSG continued their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 with a hard-fought victory at the Parc des Princes.

Marquinhos put Christophe Galtier’s side ahead on 14 minutes, before scoring an own goal nine minutes into the second half.

Neymar was sent off after receiving a second yellow card in as many minutes. Mbappe stepped in in the 96th minute to fire his kick into the bottom right corner and past Matz Sels.

PSG are already eight points ahead of second-place RC Lens and are clear favorites to retain the title.
