A Redditor named Cruseyd shared a drawing they made of Pokemon Espeon. The artwork is made to look like stained glass and does a good job of capturing the pocket monster. The piece captures the creature with a bright sun in the background, and trees and clouds surrounding it. A small border is drawn on the image, consisting of purple, orange and yellow. According to the artist, the piece was made in Photoshop. The art looks amazing and it’s a style that could be used more by fans of the show.

This isn’t the only style of stained glass art that Cruseyd has done. They also drew Umbreon, which they say was done on a flight across the United States. The piece features the dark-type Pokemon with a glowing crescent moon behind it, and long grass and dead trees surrounding it. Like Espeon’s work, there is a border around the design, which is still purple, yellow, and orange, although the purple is much darker. Cruseyd also drew Articuno, which is shown flying above a pool of water inside a cave. The piece makes stunning use of various blues and greens, which helps the white plumage on the Pokemon’s chest stand out more. All of the designs are awesome and help to show that there are multiple styles that can be used when creating artwork based on Pokemon.

Cruseyd mentioned that they eventually want to draw all Eeveelutions in the stained glass style now that they’ve done Umbreon and Espeon. However, now that Pokemon scarlet and violet are out, the artist said they might take a while to draw some of the new pocket monsters. Either way, it will be interesting to see what direction Cruseyd takes and what Pok√©mon they tackle in the future as their cartoon streak continues.

Pokemon scarlet and violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
