A fun clip from a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet raid shows a trainer’s Heracross rapidly shrinking to the point that it’s barely visible.
A weird Pokemon scarlet and violet bug caused a Heracross to shrink so much that it is barely visible. The fun glitch is just one of many issues plaguing the latest long-running build. Pokemon franchise. While this one is fun, it highlights a lingering problem with games.
Pokemon scarlet and violet were praised for some of their changes and advancements, such as moving to an open-world environment and allowing players to play side-by-side with friends. The game also sold extraordinarily well. However, many fans remain unhappy with the game due to its myriad glitches, bugs, performance issues, and other issues.
A new video shared by MrDjWalnut shows the bug in action. In the middle of a raid, a trainer dispatches Heracross. Everything seems normal for a moment, but then the Heracross suddenly disappears, then reappears, having shrunk tremendously, looking even smaller than a Poke Doll. The visual glitch is pretty funny, and thankfully doesn’t have any real impact on gameplay other than looking a bit silly. It is unclear if the Heracross ever returned to normal size during the fight, or why it shrunk in the first place.
Unfortunately, this is just one of the many bugs players have encountered since the release of Pokemon scarlet and violet. Likewise, fun glitches have included random Psyducks going in and out of the world, but bigger glitches have included flickering models and landmarks, framerate drops, and outright crashes. Some wondered if the real problem was the capabilities of the Switch hardware as the console continued to age, but either way the game left a lot of people behind. Pokemon bitter fans.
Participating in raids, picnics, and just exploring the world with other players has been a big hit with fans. However, issues continue to plague the game to the point that players have wondered if the first Pokemon scarlet and violet patch did everything to improve game performance. While many developers and publishers were accused of releasing half-baked games that required more development time, Pokemon games have traditionally been fairly stable, which has made these issues all the more glaring.
Until a bigger fix is released by Game Freak, players will just have to continue putting up with these weird issues. The developer has been pretty quiet about the situation, so fans will have to wait and see when the next patch arrives and if it manages to fix the game’s biggest issues.
