Do you want the world to explode? Probably not. But maybe! In any case, enter The Entropy Center and solve puzzles so that we have enough entropy juice to reverse the magnificent explosion of our homeworld, if we choose. How does solving puzzles help prevent Earth from detonating? You’ll need to solve a few puzzles to find out. Here’s some help getting through the first one.
Note: Knowing the solution to the puzzles can spoil the entropy juice, but how will the game know?
You have a cube and two switches. The secret to the first set of puzzles is learning to think backwards. Your entropy gun can make things go back in time but not forward. First you have to open the first door, then the cube has to go back to the other switch to open the second door.
Pick up the cube and place it on the left switch. Take it back and move it to the switch on the right. Leave it there and go up the stairs. Go through the door and look at the cube. Use your entropy gun to make him walk across the moon to the first switch, opening the exit door. ASTRA, your hot robot, will then tell you how much you suck. Don’t listen, because we think you’re pretty awesome.
This time it’s a cube, two switches and three doors. The button closest to the entrance controls the first and third doors, while the farthest opens the middle. The good news is that this puzzle works the same backwards as it does forwards.
First, place the cube on the switch closest to the entrance. Then move it to the furthest switch. Then move it to the nearest switch and leave it there. Go through the first door. Send the cube back in time to the furthest switch and go through the second door. Finally, invert the cube further until it rests on the first switch again. This will open the final door and your way to the next puzzle.
You’d think having just one button and one cube would make things easier. It does, as long as you don’t overthink it. Placing the cube on the button raises the elevator. What you need to do is first place the cube on the button, then remove it from the button and place it where your beam can reach it. Stand on the elevator and flip the cube until it’s back on the button. This will take you to the next area.
We return to two buttons and a cube, but this one is a little different since this cube must be placed in three positions. Again, we have a moving platform that needs to be activated first, but you need to be on it before it moves.
You’ll want to place the cube on the right switch first, then move it to the left. Before going anywhere, pick up the cube and drop it in the middle. Go to the platform and rewind the cube until it’s on the left switch. This will move the platform. Once you cross, rewind it to the other switch, which will open the door and free you.
This is the end of puzzle areas. You’ll go through a short vignette where the only thing you need to do is rewind the falling columns. Once you are safe in the elevator, let’s go for the rest of the game: the 02 puzzles.
