- Zavala told Insider’s Grace Dean why she doesn’t regret quitting her job last summer.
This article is based on a conversation with Danielle Zavala, a tall and beautiful model from the New Orleans area who creates content under the name Devi Thikk. It has been edited for length and clarity.
I spent five years working as a preschool teacher.
But in the summer of 2021, I quit my job to model OnlyFans, and I really have no regrets.
I will always miss being a preschool teacher, but I feel like there is a time for everything in life. I was ready to move on and I’m enjoying this new phase of my life.
At school, I worked about 40 hours a week. Now, as a BBW model, I only spend about 20 hours creating content and promoting myself. I have a lot more free time, which has given me the opportunity to learn more about myself and my interests.
I’m starting to learn the guitar and I learned to play Magic the Gathering. I can also watch my boyfriend’s band play without worrying about having to be somewhere early the next morning.
I also had time for therapy and to take care of my mental health, which was impossible in school. At the time, I would schedule appointments with the therapist, but it was difficult to keep them because they might need me to fill in for someone. It was truly life changing.
My income is not completely stable, but overall it is reliable. From month to month, I have at least a minimal idea of how much I will earn. And even this minimum is more than when I worked at school.
(The insider looked at documentation confirming that Zavala earned around 50% more in October 2022 from OnlyFans, Curvage, ManyVids, Instagram Reels and Cash App cheats than she did in four weeks in April and May. 2021 in his school.)
There was a time when my boyfriend was out of work for a little while and I was able to earn enough to keep us going.
I also like change and spontaneity, which I couldn’t do when I was at school.
I traveled to California to visit my family and hadn’t seen them since the pandemic began. I bought a one-way ticket to see them, which of course I couldn’t have done when I was working at the school. I ended up staying for a month and was able to work while I was there. I was also able to visit my sister in Texas a few times.
Even though I spend the same amount of time creating content each week as when I started on the site, my income has increased because I’m better known in the community and I manage my time better now. I know what I’m doing.
And I’m more confident. At first, I wasn’t sure about taking pictures and I had to reshoot again and again or do a hundred poses before I found what I liked. I have learned to model better now.
I upload content to three main platforms: OnlyFans, Curvage and ManyVids. I have also earned income from Instagram Reels, and I will probably start using it more. Sometimes I get tips through sites like Cash App.
I do everything myself, although sometimes I had friends who helped me film.
On OnlyFans, I upload about four or five videos a month, then try to update an obscene image or a short video clip almost every day. My content includes belly play, food, butt moves, dancing, and softcore masturbation.
I charge $14.99 per month. Everything is available to all my subscribers; I don’t currently upload pay-per-view videos.
Even though it’s my job, I feel that in general my lifestyle is very healthy. I dont drink; I don’t take any drugs; I do not smoke; I have a good healthy relationship. Just because you’re an OnlyFans model doesn’t mean you’re completely wild. It’s just a job.
I don’t know exactly what I want to do next yet, but I envision myself being a model and content creator for at least a year or two.
