Thunberg hits out at Andrew Tate amid human trafficking accusations on Twitter

Climate activist Greta Thunberg attacked former kickboxer Andrew Tate on Twitter on Friday after he and his brother Tristan were arrested in Romania on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming a criminal gang organized.

Tate’s arrest came two days after he and Thunberg engaged in a spat that some say led to the internet personality’s downfall.

In a bizarre video posted to his Twitter on Wednesday, Tate sat in a red dress smoking a cigar and receiving an order for pizza – in which he noted that he would make sure the “boxes [were] not recycled” – before chastising Thunberg and his beliefs on climate policy.

Following news of Tate’s arrest, Thunberg took to Twitter early Friday to say, “Here’s what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes.”

The internet row began on Tuesday when Tate appeared to poke fun at Thunberg by calling out the climate activist in a post accompanied by a photo of him filling up his Bugatti at a gas station and asking for his email address so that he can “send a full list of my collection of cars and their respective huge shows.”

Thunberg responded to the message a day later and said “Yes, please enlighten me. Email me at smalld—[email protected]
